covet: plant pods

plant pods by domenic fiorello

on the verge of moving into a TINY apartment, i am down for anything that will save some space.  these little plant pods are a hip approach to displaying some greenery without losing a ton of space.

etc.: cheers!

Inside Out Champagne Glasses from the MoMA store

super sleek and just about perfect for a champagne toast at my wedding!

etc.: modern wedding venue

linne calodo winery

with my family unable to travel for the wedding, our options for our ideal "raw urban venue" are sparse...if they even exist at all.  you see, if you want a wedding on the central coast you have two options:  ranch or winery.  thats why i just about jumped out of my seat when i saw this modern-looking tasting room at linne calodo winery.  sadly, they can't accommodate even the smallest of weddings.  and our search continues...

furnish: metrobench

metrobench by stephen shaheen

this bench is made from recycled NYC metro cards - cool concept.

pairings: bag + chair

can't you picture this purse by xanath lammoglia slung over this chair by kartell?

(hint: look careful at the kartell chair... can you see the silhouettes of the series 7 by jacobsen, the tulip by saarinen, and eiffel chair by eames ... isn't that cool?!)

swatch: MESH bench

MESH by horgen becket via contemporist

love the use of materials in this bench by horgen becket.  MESH also includes a table and pendant light.

tag team: are you ready for some football?

although we are in the middle of march madness and on the brink of baseball season, today, k:designs and k:plays are all about the pigskin.

charger's staduim master plan

by de bartolo + rimanic design studio & mcullough landscape

via archdaily

turning the idea of a "civic center" inside out, this master plan for the san diego charger's new stadium by de bartolo + rimanic aims to celebrate san diego's beautiful climate, neighborhoods and outdoor space as well as the stadium.  my most favorite part of the design is the concept behind the stadium itself... it's the charger's logo in 3D.  i think this will compliment predock's petco park and will be a great iconic statement for america's finest city - can't wait to go catch a game!
