covet: plant pods

plant pods by domenic fiorello

on the verge of moving into a TINY apartment, i am down for anything that will save some space.  these little plant pods are a hip approach to displaying some greenery without losing a ton of space.

covet: kelly moore bag

the classic bag in fuscia by kelly moore

remember way back when i posted about desperately wanting a digital slr?  well, santa (aka g&p) was good to me this year and i am now the proud owner of a Nikon D3100!  Yay!  I am so excited to start snapping away - this is going to be a great starter camera for me!  I have been hunting around the internet for the perfect camera bag and have been thoroughly disappointed with the options... that is, until I discovered kelly moore.  finally a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag!  the kelly moore bags come in a great line up of colors (and we all know how I love hot pink), sizes and styles.  I especially liked the variety of photos on her website and the video demonstrations really helped give a better feel for the bag in real life.  I'm hooked!  The only question is, will it be the posey in pink or the b-hobo in gray... decisions, decisions!

covet: eames pillow

as many of you know, i am currently obsessed with the magic of mid-century designers ray & charles eames.  just discovered these pillows by inhabit.  great silhouettes, cool colors, also love that the name of the pillow is the year the chair was released.  hey, if i can't have an eames lounge chair, i figure having pillow of one sitting on my couch is the next best option.

covet: my space

my day job is in architecture.  in many ways it's my dream job.  still, i can't help but fantasize about my design job.  you know, my own space where i can spend hours exploring the creative.  art, textiles, graphics... it would be my little design haven, DIY Central.  I imagine the space to be something like this...

covet: digital slr camera

nikon d3100
I've always been interested in photographic composition and have made the most of my little point-and-shoot.  Recently, i got the opportunity to take project photo's for my company's new website and got my first taste of SLR.  Once you go SLR, you don't go back.  And while it seems like everyone is an aspiring would-be photographer these days, i still can't help but think of how much better my photos would-be if i was the owner of a digital SLR.... oh the possibilities...
